weird S9 humidifier problem

Post by MoodyDragon » Sun Aug 08, 2010 2:59 pm

Hi folks. I just bought a S9 Resmed machine with the H5i heated humidifier.

My problem is the humidifier works when I use the warm up option but does not work during regular cpap operation. So effectively, I get no humidified air at night.

I have tried the Climate control at 'Auto', 'Patient' as well as 'Manual' settings. The humidifier setting is at '3' and I use the slimline tubing (not climate control). I use a Mirage Quattro full face mask.

Am I doing something wrong with the programming. Clearly, the humidifier works (it heats, it shows the little orange light inside the chamber....) but does not heat during the actual operation.

I would be grateful for any help. Thanks!

Have read so many similar complaints in the past.

Why not check your room humidity first? If your room humidity is more than 50% - you do not need more humidity..
Those humidifier is programmed to work to produce more humidity only when you need it.

Thanks the raising of humidifier level helped! I live in Las Vegas so excessive humidity is not a concern for me. Thank you!
