I don't need to buy one now that I've gotten my packet from HR! Woke up with a leak last night from my Ultra Mirage and I really can't wait until I can afford to order a Hans Rudolph.

Hans Rudolph Full Face Mask

Post by Georgia Hosehead » Fri Nov 11, 2005 5:18 pm

I aquired one of these from my local DME (Apria), after they were approved by their home office. We used the sizing calipers first. The mask leaked like a seive, and had an abomination of a headgear. The DME then got me the insert to tighten the seal around the nose. The mask leaked excessively whenever I turned onto my side. I finally gave up on it and put it in with all my other failed full face masks (purgatory). After all, I just cannot sleep just on my back. I was going to try to sell it on an on-line auction site, but they went out of CPAP unit and mask sales. I'm glad to hear that some others have had success with the Hans Rudolph. The ResMed Activa is my favorite, follower by the Aura by AEIOMed.

I read the calipers at home ane then contacted the Hans Rudolph people by phone and I gave them the number on the caliper. I was told the size I needed.

The DME's do not know how to read the caliper or order the Hans Rudolph Mask because the first one ordered for me was a medium. Way to big. They ordered a small but still not right.

I then went to the company for help.

Nothing like going to the source to get something correct.

Now I tell my DME the size I need. Everything is correct.

Some times we have to ignore the DME and then get back with them when we have the right size, shape and color then get back with the DME.

I was told by the HR that DME's do not know how to read the caliper nor order their mask.

This is why the DME's don't like to do anything with the HR they do not want to learn or understand what this mask is all about.
