ResScan Data Card Reader

I just installed ResScan 3.11, I have the ResScan data card reader. Install went well but when I go to download data the download button never highlights. I would assume it isn't reading the card. I AM VERY TECHNICALLY CHALLENGED but can anyone help or offer advice? Thanks

First, what version of WIndows are you running? Here are some instructions to help you find out:

Does the green light on the card reader light up? Also, a mistake I made at first is putting the card in the card reader upside down. You put it into your S8 CPAP with the ResMed logo facing UP, and you put it into the card reader with the ResMed logo facing DOWN. There is a little picture on the card reader showing how it should be oriented.
