Hello all,
I am using a chinstrap that I found on Ebay. I absolutely HATE using a chinstrap, but cannot stand a full face mask, and am using the Swift LT. I just can't seem to keep my mouth closed without the strap. I'm a big guy, and have a larger head. Does anybody know of a chin strap that wraps around the back of the head and top of the head that is made for larger heads? I was looking at the Ruby

which is similar in design to what I have, but I don't know how big it is. Anybody use it?

Re: Chinstraps
The ruby is probably the best style it seems to hold well. Also they make one that is the same design but adjustable. It is usually a tan color. This is good because the strap will stretch so you can make it tighter.
Good Luck, also check out this weekly video blog. http://www.sleepnation.tv

Re: Chinstraps
I too use the Swift LT, and I also have issues with opening my mouth during the night. My first concern was to not get a strap that pulled my jaw backwards by putting too much pressure on my chin.
I started using this chinstrap about two months ago:

It's the CPAP.com cheap-o chinstrap, but it works. I purchased the large size, and it has plenty of extra length for adjustment. It took about 2-3 days to get used to the thing, but after the adjustment period, I no longer felt it after a few minutes.
I switched to the PAPcap this past Friday, and find it just as effective. It's not as stretchy, but it seems to work just as well. Mostly I got it as I was concerned that having an elastic strap covering my hair, in the same place, every night, would eventually cause a bald spot. Probably a little silly, but one can never be too safe.
Bottom line, get a chin strap, get used to it, and enjoy being able to use a nasal pillow rather than a full face mask.

Re: Chinstraps
Chin straps are for the most part useless, here is a item that might work.
