Help needed with programing a remstar auto w/aflex

I have a remstar auto with aflex machine that is set up as straight cpap. My pressure is set for 12 with a ramp setting of 4. I started out with an m series machine set at 8cm 8 months ago however after no impropvement with fatigue I was able to get an upgraded machine in order to get an in depth look at my therapy or lake there of. I have been using the machine for 3 weeks on straight cflex. It seams as though some people benefit better from an auto setting. I would like to try going to an auto setting with 8cm as the low setting and 12 as the high. Is anybody familiar with programming this machine? Suggestions??
I would appreciate any feedback. I'm not getting additional help from my Doc and I have discovered that my dme provider is unable to answer even basic questions for info that I learned from this forum.

Prayerful, I don't have your machine, so I can't give specific advice on it. Did you try searching past threads for this?

What do your summary statistics look like on the LCD with your existing settings? I gather that you don't have the Encore Viewer 2.0 software to monitor your therapy. It would be very advantageous if you would get that before switching to APAP mode.
How do you feel using the current settings?
Do you have a copy of your sleep study?
Why would you want to set your minimum pressure so far below your prescribed pressure? (in APAP mode) That pressure was apparently not giving you good therapy with your previous machine. Maybe you need to turn off the Ramp, too.
