Smart card? What smart card? :-)))

Post by Babette » Fri Jul 09, 2010 9:11 am

Thought some of you would get a chuckle over this.

Last year, my sleep doc told me to quit stressing over my data. Every time I came in, I was armed with 40 pages of printouts, and stressing over every little leak. He told me I was doing FINE, and to quit going all OCD over the fact that my friends on cpaptalk were achieving 0.0 AHI and I wasn't.

I took that to heart. I gave up looking at data. To the point where I just really forgot about it. Until Wednesday night. I decided I'd better download the smart card for my Thursday meeting with him. Went to take it out of the machine, and discovered, THERE WAS NO CARD THERE.

Gosh only knows where the card is. I went in to see the doc yesterday - printout free - and he just laughed. And then told his secretary to give me a new card.

While she was getting me the card, I started telling her the story, and she was really intrigued with the idea of this forum. Said she was going to start telling her patients about it. I like her alot!

Cheers,
Barbara - who promptly went home and slipped the card into the machine, before she forgot where she laid it down.

I guess that's why I haven't been here in a while....forgot that the place existed until a couple of days ago.
Good to hear from you and by the way, love the new(?) avatar....You still got it!!

Should'a just told your doc you were now smart enough that you didn't need the card anymore.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Damn Jerry, we're too close. Yeah, I thought about writing you when I discovered this, then Greg called, and then I forgot, and then I thought I'd just post it for all to see.

The reports of my demise are definitely premature.

Where've I been? Developing carpal tunnel syndrome working my a** off at work. Actually, the Occupational Therapist claims it's Tennis Elbow, brought on by over-mousing. I think it should at least be re-named Mouse Elbow, don't you?

And the idiot staffer in my PCP's office wants me to file an L & I claim. I called her and slapped her down and told her to process that bloody referral TODAY, since I've now missed a week of occupational therapy because of her idiocy. I have good insurance. I don't need L&I involved. Get over it.

Anyway, yes, Jerry, I will someday hook up that card reader to the laptop, and then shoot you numerous emails asking "why won't it work?" but you'll be at the movies and will call me later and I'll freak out because I don't recognize your voice, and wonder who the heck you are.... Sound familiar?

If I'm sleeping good and think everything's fine and discover I've got wacky numbers, it will just upset me. I'd rather not know.

Pappy, if you forgot we existed, then you need to re-titrate. We're unforgettable.

LOL,
Babs

I understand, Pappy. The oil slick is making you sluggish and unresponsive.

I think you should put in a claim to BP.

Or talk Jerry into driving over and reading your card for you.

LOL,
B.

Oh, here's another tidbit you'll get a laugh out of.

Lately, I've been getting rainout in my mask. But I'm too lazy to go reprogram the Legacy tank to dial down the Humidifier.

I kinda miss the M Series where I could just roll over and literally dial it down.

Of course, the last few days of the heat wave, no rainout. So, why bother reprogramming now?

LOL,
B.

I told you I would send you my extra F&P to put on your Tank since I finally got the darn new Legacy chamber with the big hole in it to work. The F&P has a dial that you can find in the dark with both hands!!!!!!!!!!
