ResScan 3.11

Post by cactusthorn » Fri Jun 11, 2010 2:30 pm

I am totally new, 1 day. Just finished my first nite with the ResMed S9. I keep reading references about the software 3.11. I have no idea how to find it. Could anyone help and point me in the right direction for the software. Many thanks.

I am interested in the ResScan software as well. My doctor is writing a script for it next week! (Hooray!)

You may find it difficult to fulfill the prescription for the software. The DME's will probably tell you that ResMed does not allow them to sell software to patients. The reality is that ResMed's position is more nuanced. ResMed considers software a prescription item because it allows the user to change the machine settings. They are not wild about patients having the software but if there is a prescription for the software they will defer to the physician washing their hands on it. Do not expect any support for the software.

Because of the resistance from the DME you may find it easier to obtain the software from the source that you will be pointed to.

Hi All,

ResMed will not sell ResScan software to patients. I tried and ended up doing an end-run through Australia.

However, I am now CPAP free and have ResScan 3.7 software and the card reader available.
Since I know the hoops I went through to get it I don't want to see it gathering dust on my shelf.
I will let it go for a nominal fee. Send me a PM with an offer and I will send mail it out.
It would be great to know that someone is getting to use it.
ResScan is really a cool tool for CPAP patients.

I have just received my equipment today and actually can't wait to go to bed tonight. A new toy to play with but not looking forward to being attached to a hose for possibly the rest of my life. This site has been fabulous in guiding me. Lots more to learn. When picking up my S9 today I asked about software and was told it wasn't available through them. From what I have read I know it is a tool that I would use. I do like to be educated and know what's happening.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks (first post, also wanted to see if I set-up my profile properly) L8R

I just got a used S8 Autoset Vantage--it had 1500hrs and was a very good deal. (This is the first model, not the Autoset II.) I've used it two nights now and it's a big improvement over my 10-year-old DeVilbiss Horizon LT.

I had the software for the Horizon LT and it was very helpful. I'd like to get the ResScan software. Can someone point me in the right direction? (By searching this forum, I know where to get the Smartcard and card reader.)

Thank you,

Carroll

ResScan not needed to change the unit's settings

What ? You don't need the ResScan software to change the machine's settings. Simply go into the Clinical Menu and change whatever you wish.
