Better to use big DME like Apria or local?

DMEs are hit and miss. You could try and find a good local one that will supply an S9. Does your prescription specific an S9? if so then they have to give you that machine. Otherwise they may try and give you a basic bare bones machine which is not data capable.

You have a third option, call your insurance and see if they will allow you to buy online. If so you could order from cpap.com and submit the claim yourself.
