Questions on technical terms in generated report

Post by sky_manchester » Sun Jul 04, 2010 4:10 pm

Hi, all, I am seeking help here again.

After generating the report by ResScan, there are some technical terms, such as Minute Ventilation, Tidal Volume, etc., where can I find the meanings of those terms and what those terms can indicate regarding my sleep quality? I have read the manual of ResScan, and cannot find any information on that.

Does anyone here know?

Thank you very much indeed.

Those terms can be googled for a set of explanations. Also if you look at the top of your capatalk page & over to the right you should see 'cpap definitions' I think that link will also explain many of the terms.

As a qik explanation ...

'Minute ventilation' is the volume of air breathed in, on a minute-by-minute calculation. Its usefulness is in providing a baseline of respiration.

'Tidal Volume' is the volume of air breathed in one breath - it is helpful to show what is occurring on a breath-by-breath basis.

Good luck.
