For all of us non-Australians here's Wikipedia's definition of TAFE:
Technical and Further Education or TAFE (pronounced /ˈteɪf/) institutions provide a wide range of predominantly vocational tertiary education courses in Australia, mostly qualifying courses under the National Training System/Australian Qualifications Framework/Australian Quality Training Framework. Fields covered include hospitality, tourism, construction, engineering, secretarial skills, visual arts, computer programming and community work.
TAFE is also an Indian tractor manufacturer (Tractors And Farm Equipment) but I think that's the wrong one.

What is your sleep disorder? Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Severe Central Sleep Apnea (CSA)
How long have you had it? Diagnosed in early 30s, but probably had severe OSA since about 15.
How does it affect your sleep? Without xPAP therapy, I do not sleep and would have died by now.
Is there any treatment for your sleep disorder? If yes what is it? Treatment, yes. An Adaptive Servo-Ventilation (ASV) unit. It it an advanced Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure unit, which helps stabilize breathing for someone suffering from central sleep apnea (and related disorders).
Is there a cure or permanent solution for your sleep disorder? No.
Do you know of any long term health effects? If yes please list. Yes. Due to a significant increase in central sleep apnea, even with high blood pressure medication, I had unmanaged high blood pressure. This contributed to kidney damage (not due to diabetes). Long term problems with it also contributed to Type 2 Diabetes. And of course, increased risk of cardiovascular problems.
