administrative rights

Post by v.stewart » Tue Jun 22, 2010 8:37 am

Good morning,
I purchased my own copy of encore pro so I could learn to tweak my own reports but when I go to install encore pro CD it is asking me for administrative rights!! Could someone please tell me how to get around this or what totype to get to the wizard........I paid a lot for the CD and have the smart card CD too and the young tech that sold it to me is gone now. The new girl says our techinal help comes from the states and I am in Canada and in the US it is not lawful to have this version. I want to get online to learn about myu disease, change my dials and join in to conversations with you knowledgeable people. I wait in anticipation for your answer. If you need more info please ask me. I have windows (new PC) and the CD was made in 2008. Thanks Valerie (CrossfitJunkie)

Since you have a new PC you are probably running Windows 7.

When you log in to it, logging in as administrator (that use name) should be an option for you. If you don't know the password, in the Control Panel there should be a User Accounts section that will allow you to change it.

Once you're logged in as administrator you should be able to do whatever you like.

Yep, just sign in as EncoreAdmin and then a password.

You should also be able to right click the encore program and select the run as administrator option also.

The first time I started Encore Pro 2 after installing it, it asked for a "login" and "password."

As best I remember, you have to use this log in name and password the first time:

user name: EncoreAdmin

password: password1

It will let you log in and will immediately say "password expired." You then have to make up a new password of your own (you can leave the login name "EncoreAdmin") and the program will start.

At least, that's how I recall it...my memory sure could be wrong!

Your memory is one heck of a whole lot better than mine, RG!!! But now that you mention it, I do remember and you are right on! Thank you - from both of us. And probably others as well.

I,

I'm a newbie with an initial AHI of 106 which went down to 50 with a Respironics 7 weeks ago.
My lung specialist is quite puzzeled by me and I am too.
I would like to get my hands on Encore Pro 2.2 software but I can't get it from my supplier in Canada even with my doctor's prescription.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a clean copy without viruses?

Many thanks,

Ben
