Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
Hi there!
I was just wondering if any of you remember when you were little kids, did you have flying dreams?
These would be pre apnea dreams I hope!
Dreams of flying around like peter pan, no planes, no machines, just you zooming around in the air flying anywhere you wanted.
I remember having them, flying around my house, and out the door up above the trees down the golf course. I could clearly see the roof tops
of my nieghbors homes, and the tops of the bushes and sheds in their yards. I remember what a strange perspective it was to be able to
look down on everything. It seemed so real!
So do any of you remember flying dreams as a child, or even as an adult?

I still have them, Elena, and still love them. A few have been so intense, so realistic and beautiful that they've woken me up. Since becoming a hosehead, I've been able to recall my dreams more clearly than before, and it seems that dreams of floating come to me far more often than ones where I actually fly.

I haven't had one lately, but yep - a very common theme. I find that to fly (in my dreams) I have to use the muscles in my diaphram and have some sort of boost. I often end up having to dodge power lines at the last minute too. They're often based either in my childhood home, or in the city - not where I am now.
My family believes that if I ever went to see a psychologist that they would probably not only be able to write a book on me, but base a whole career on the related lecture tour

Re: Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
YES but never flying over things looking down.every time I had the dream I was being chased by some demon. I always had to fly to escape and always made it just in the nick of time. Also I have the power line and tree obstaces in my way. That is why the escape is not instant. I always had to find a clearing without the obstacles to get off the ground.
Another dream that I used to have was entering a big house and going from room to room. No matter ow many rooms I enter there is always another one ahead. I have not had either of them that I know of since starting cpap.

Yes, but I was always in an airplane. Have not had a dream in 45 years... now with APAP am dreaming again. Got my pilot's license and the flying dreams went away. Started using Viagra and my 'cutting the lawn' nightmares stopped. (Heh. heh.)

I had them as a kid and I still have them on rare occasions.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
Re: Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
Always had them as a kid. They were pretty boring from memory. With my untreated sleep apnea, I wasn't remembering/having any dreams (sleep test said I only had about 8 mins of REM sleep but probably just the environment). Now I remember dreams all the time, and probably due to varenicline/champix they are the most bizarre I have ever had.
I've dreamed anything from writing a top 10 hit song, and I tried to wake myself up in my dream to go write it down (probably the only lucid dream I have ever had) to a full on western shoot-out and aliens attacking earth.

I figure I am going to save at least $20 a week on the movies.

It is a smoking cessation drug 68 days cigarette free. Yeah!!!torontoCPAPguy wrote: Hey, where do I get some of this varenicline/champix stuff?

Other side effects include headache, difficulty sleeping, abnormal dreams, change in taste, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, depression.
I had ALL except I never vomited. They help me quit smoking a LOT but unless you need a helping hand don't touch the stuff.
Re: Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
I really do not remeber dreaming as a kid. I have had more dreams since I have been on cpap that I remember, not of flying but falling. Go figure.
