I believe the pressure range is 4 min, 20 max.
Highest I've gotten so far is 13.42. Usually running ~7ish.
Big-time difference from the 16 I *was* on.

Highest AHI is 2.6. Measured with v3.11.

What really ticks me off is the BS that the DME can decide that I cannot get something that my physician has prescribed. If the DME can provide it and if I am willing to pay they have no option but to provide it otherwise I would suggest that they are in violation of several laws and regulations.

Based upon my experience, I'd ditch them and try another option, if one is available to you.

Historically, at least for me, "Sleep Care Professionals" are not too interested in doing what the patient wants. The situations I've been in have taught me that they have their own ideas about what they want to do.
That is fine for them. I get to choose if I want to play though...

OK. Resolution. I went to the DME, S9 Elite and prescription in hand, and asked them to fill the prescription as written. The RT asked if my doc had prescribed a range and I told him, no, but my doc and I decided that APAP would be better for her and I to easily adjust my pressure as my needs changed. He commented that the ResMed reps are trying to sell docs on the APAPs for that very reason, but he went ahead and exchanged the machines. SUCCESS!

Non-related question/comment: I took the opportunity to spend my first night in APAP mode. The results were that my AHI went way down and my pressure went way up (7.0 -> 12.1). Could this imply that my prescribed pressure could be too low?

Yippie!

Glad you found the huevos to get what you deserve.

Thing to remember is that while the single night titrations are done monitoring various parameters with lab accuracy, it is only one snap-shot for a single night sleeping in a foriegn environment. The APAP allows you to capture long-term trends and averages more representative of your sleep characteristics in your own bedroom.

Having said that, I would wait and collect 1 or 2 weeks of data before changing pressure settings. Also, make certain that leaks are under control before making pressure changes ... else you run the risk of chaising your tail trying to find the right pressure. Good luck, you now have the tools to take control of your life.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Yup, it could be. That's why autopaps are better--that's what they do. But as Dream STalker and many others have said, "one night does not a trend make". You will have to give it some time to see where your pressures really settle down to.

If they are significantly higher than the original titration amount over time, I'd bring up with the RT who tried to convince you autopap was a marketing ploy and SHOW him that there is something to that line of reasoning.

Wait until you start feeling those low AHI's--wonderful!
