For all of the 2 years I have been on cpap therapy I have had one complaint. I am sleeping deeper sleep but still not longer. I have only been averaging 5-6 hours a night. Recently I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was perscribed metformin to combat my high sugar along with a diet. This week I have noticed that I am beginning to sleep longer. One night this week it was nearly 7 hours and last night nearly 9 hours. I wonder if this is all connected and bringing my sugar under control has something to do with my sleep patterns. Or it could all be a coincidence.

Could be the sugar under control. When it is in better control you don't have to get up and go to the bathroom every couple hours at night (if that was your issue before). I notice when I eat too much for supper now I still have to get up several times. But if Im a 'good girl' at supper and with the cpap I sleep pretty much through the night.
