But, PDean, what you are suggesting is too logical!! It makes too much sense! The medical profession has considered their patients too dumb, hypochondriac prone, anxiety-ridden and just plain stupid to handle such information.

In my personal opinion, that not everyone shares, this is information best shared via PM or private e-mail.
This cat was out of the bag long before I got here. Manuals and software are copyrighted, but the secret handshakes are commonly known. The problem is they seem to spead over many threads. I find them difficult to nail down when needed. So I hope this doesn't cause any problems.

How about the Fisher-Paykel units. How do you access the clinical menu on these units? Can anyone post as these are very common units?

Hey, you ARE appreciated, BigDaddy. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't or aren't. Its just that I like to see newbies to PAP therapy get a little education under their belt before they start to "play" w/their new "toy".

I wasn't offended. I agree with you. If your gonna strike out on your own you should know where you're going. There are risks associated with adjusting your own pressure.

BigDaddy, what do you make of this ONE desat event?? WHY would it be counted as just ONE desat?? This is w/the ConTec CMS-50D+ recording oximeter. I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better off going back to my own SPO 7500 recording oximeter and just how accurate this ConTec CMS-50D+ really is?

Post your "secret hand shake" (the method to access the clinical menu on your pap) so we can have them all in one location. Thanks for your help.

You've already posted the "secret handshake" for accessing the Clincians Menu on the PR SystemOne devices. Its the same for all of PR S1 models.

Slinky, I could be wrong but I think the"YOUR" was referring to the Reader - Esp. the "New Reader" of this thread.

Donchoo be pickin' on me, Gumby, or I'll trade you in on a goat and shoot the goat!!!! That WILL make you an accomplice to a goat-icide! Do you really want that on your conscience? If you have one.

My DME changed my PR Remstar System One Auto A Flex machine to the 'auto' setting, but limited it to a max of 9. My first night I was using the 9 at 90% of the time and want to change the upper setting to a 10 (since I still woke up several times feeling as if I was smothering). I can get into the clinician's setup mode, but can't find the magic hand shake to get into the place where I could change the auto setting limits. Any ideas? Also, with the auto setting my AHI dropped from 13+ to a 9 for the first time. JayTee

Good Morning, rested gal, Thank you for your message. I am not yet savvy enough to be able to send you a private reply even though I tried several times. Your help is greatly appreciated. I will definitely use the info with care. Thank you again, JayTee

Good morning! I must have been so sleep deprived that I thought I was in set-up mode when I actually wasn't or the machine was not responding properly. This morning, I was able to get in, view and change the set-up numbers. Whew! I don't know what I would do without the support from this board's group, as my DME is no help at all. Grateful JayTee
