Hello: Hoseheads
I have a couple of question regarding the time change on my S9 Autoset.
How can i change the time from military time to regular EST? I do have the clinicians manual and know how to get to the time settings and the only thing that i seem to be able to do is change the hour's but they are still in military time and it"s been many moon's since i've been discharge from the military. Also all the data that i downloaded is on the same time, even the sleep doc ask the RT on my last visit about why is the data on that time, and the RT"s reply was that some machines are setup that way,to me it sounded like a big crock of $#@% but i was not about to get in their conversation and the Doc left it at that, but i'm just curious. Is this true?
Also i notice that the Resscan 3:11 is out and that some have allready try it,but after reading some of the post (Uncle Bob) i was wondering . Is the only thing new with it the addition on the Clinician's Manual? and could someone out there please PM me the link to the 3:11 software so i could downloaded ? i like to give it try ........
A new hosehead thanking you : Phil M.

Re: Changing Time on The S9
Not directly answering your question but for those people that travel with the machine my advice is not to change time zones on the machine.
I went to Asia and changed the time on the machine to match the local time. The problem was when I returned I couldn't change the time back to local time because the unit won't allow you to change back the clock if there is already data for that time period (I guess in a way to ensure that data doesn't get over-wrtiten). My only way to solve the problem was to move the date on my S9 to the day +1. So from now on, my machine is one day ahead. Not a big deal as long as you know that when looking at the data.

Re: Changing Time on The S9
Sorry, I don't know...my time is not military time, so I just went through all the options and couldn't find how to change to military time.
I would call ResMed Customer Service, they may be able to help.
As for ResScan 3.11, it's the same link, just change the number from 3.10 to 3.ll.

Re: Changing Time on The S9
I haven't figured it out on the machine yet, but, in Rescan go to:
Tools>Options> A box will open. In the middle of the box there is a section called Time Scale. Choose "AM / PM" and all data you review will use that scale.

hi,
i am a night shift worker... so i am sleeping when data log changes (resets) at 12.00 noon. is it possible to reset time on S9 to keep data during day.
thx

Re: Changing Time on The S9
That's a really good question and something that ResMed and other companies may not have thought about before. I guess the easiest way would be to offset your clock on the device by 12 hours. Providing you know it's offset and anyone that needs to look at your data equally knows its offset by 12 hours, it should be okay.firyspell wrote:hi,

Re: Changing Time on The S9
Yeah this is something I mentioned a while ago for the S9 and other devices, most watches now days update from atomic clocks, so it's not a costly mechanism to get it into the unit that probably has a lot of blank space inside it, but it will bump the cost up slightly (but prob nothing more than £10 or $10.
I think all devices that have an inbuilt clock should either connect to Atomic clocks (although not accessible in all parts of the world) or allow you to configure it over a WiFi network to the internet (although the cost would be more higher to embed this technology into every product).
Thanks
Dave
