Resmed Software Question (DO not need it)

Post by Biggie_D » Sat Jun 05, 2010 6:51 pm

When you insert the card and DL the data does it stay on the card as well or does it clear the card?

Sorry if this is a NEWB question its the only thing stoping me from trying it out since I have to have the data pulled off of it on the 14th for an appointment I have with a sleep doc that comes up to see us hoseheads from Salt Lake.

Thanks In Advance for the answer

Downloading data from the card does not erase the data on the card, HOWEVER, the card will only hold a finite amount of data, so the data will not remain in perpetuity on the card.

Detailed data will be retained for up to ~8 days (of data collection) before it is overwritten with new detailed data, and summary data is retained for up to ~365 days (of data collection) before it is overwritten with new summary data.

Cheers,

Bill

AND it DEPENDS on whether you or your DME have selected "Leave Data On Card After Download" in EncorePro. As I remember it ResScan's default is to leave the data on the card.

If you make settings changes to your machine from ResScan, it will erase the data on the card (and put the machine settings on to be transferred back to the machine), but otherwise will not as others have stated. But, once you have loaded it into ResScan, it keeps a copy on the computer.
