Ahh no..... 99.9% of Big bird's post's do not require a "counter-argument"....... will suffice.

Meh....no name calling required. More of a and a

Not sure whether Roster suffers from fear of admitting we actually don't have an issue with our health care system or fear or admitting that he is wrong about anything. Either way it's not relevant. He doesn't have to live the system, just as we don't have to live the US system. I still don't understand why he feels the need to bring up the Cdn healthcare system all the time and compare it to whatever is happening down there. It's not remotely the same. We aren't Americans nor do the majority of us want to be.... perhaps that is his real problem.

I would call it a "want" instead of a "need", but suit yourself with the psychoanalysis.

Have you forgotten when we were discussing the healthcare debate in the U.S. last year, you Canadians kept chiming in about how wonderful your healthcare system was and how you felt so sorry that the U.S. had such a poor system and you were so sorry that we all go bankrupt when we get sick?

I haven't forgotten.

Are you guys now sorry you brought it up? I don't mind that you brought it up and am sorry you mind that I joined in with your conversation.

I have no hard feelings toward Canadians and I love your countrymen and your country, especially the countryside.

I wish you no harm at all, in fact my prayers are for great improvement in your health, healthcare and general economy along with the same for the U.S.

I will however start a new post comparing healthcare in the U.S. and Canada. Read it, don't read it, debate it, ignore it, ridicule it, ridicule me - suit yourself.

You have fun with that Rooster.

If my recollection serves me correctly I believe we were answering questions about our system. Yes we still love our system vs yours, yes I'm glad we have it. I also believe we all collectively as Canadians also never denied there were problems with it but the good outweighed the bad. Everything can handle improvement.

Costs are inevitably going to go up, tis the nature of the beast, it's all a question of what your priorities are as to where you/the government is going to put money. I'd rather see the billion dollars our government is pumping into security for the G20 summit put to better use than a dog and pony show but whatcha gonna do? (other than try and dump the schmuck who is currently our PM)

As a country we put a priority on universal health care, most people do actually understand the costs associated with it and use it prudently.

Well Rooster, since you mentioned "psychoanalysis," here's some from a professional:

I think you have hit the nail on the head... rather than "need," you really do "want" to engage in debate about the differences between the Canadian and American systems of healthcare and I suspect that it is because you are in a snit. You mentioned that you have not forgotten previous conversations, from last year, which you interpreted as Canadians feeling sorry for folks in the US relative to healthcare. Then, you start a new thread, months later, so that you can highlight an article that refers to Canadians being unhappy with Canadian healthcare. You are having an extended snit about a previous conversation and like a little boy with a bloody nose, you aren't going to be happy until you think you've gotten even with whoever (that would be us Canadians) offended you in the past.

Your behaviour is petulant and petty; you simply want to provoke animosity. Your plan to start a new thread comparing American and Canadian healthcare systems? Fill your boots! I suspect that ultimately, no one is going to want to bother squabbling with you.

One last thought: your avatar is perfect... lots of feathers, very little meat, and all it wants to do is make noise and fight. You're brilliant!

I think I'd like to point something out here... the economy of the world has been in awful shape for a few years now, largely due to certain sleazy practices in the real estate and banking industries of one country. However, Canada has an unusually good economy, and was the last country to feel the effects of the recession. As of now, Canada is also the leading economy (proportionally, if not by numbers) in the world and is doing just fine thank you. There has been zero mention anywhere (and I read a LOT of news) of the medical system being any more of a problem than usual, and certainly if there was one, our economy is in excellent shape to deal with it. I really wish you (Roster) would just stop stirring the pot for your amusement as it's really gotten old.

As I pointed out in my previous post "The proof in in the pudding" - in this case the health of the citizens - Canadians are healthier then Americans, our infant mortality rate is much better then Americans. There is nothing to discuss.

Plus most of our problems with the costs can be mostly attributed to the over inflation of American salaries for Medical staff and the attempt by the American banking system to destroy the world economy.

Maybe we can discuss how you guys can clean up your act instead.

You mean like the free-market spill baby spill ... that conservative legacy is still torking me off. I don't understand how all those red counties and states along the Gulf Coast can live with themselves ... always voting against their own interests and everyone elses too.

From this morning's Toronto Star.
For example, only 53 per cent of urgent cancer surgeries are done within the recommended timeframe.

I'm sick of all the debates this Mr roster starts. All the time this man manage to start a fight among the forum's people with his misleading news, that's simply disgusting! And on top of that news are always telling what the news industry wants to tell, which in most of the cases is a distortion of the true.

We all come here to try to find support and yes to support others which are in the same situation as we have been or are. Then, why is this necessity to sow discord? Please could somebody from cpaptalk.com stop this behavior... I really think this is not of a good renown for this forum. I know we all have as first intention to be friendly and helpful to the friends here. This is not the first time a fight starts here and it's not pleasant at all.

Personally, I don't give a rip who has the best health system! We have what we have and is not lowering the other's system that we will make ours better.
