Well, after an absolutely awful winter and spring I am returning to my CPAP machine. It has been one miserable year and I am still so exhausted and looking forward to feeling better once I get back on my machine. I managed to get hit with asthma, pneumonia, a fungus infection in the lungs, and then to top it off....H1N1. So my lungs to say the least have been shot.

I was unable to use my cpap for most of the winter because I was coughing so hard that my masks and I couldn't get along. I have stayed healthy for the last few weeks and now am ready to get back on my machine. My DME had a CPAP Fair and I went had had my machine checked, got a new mask and new tubing. I have successfully managed to wear my mask for 4+ hours the last two nights.

I got the software for my machine installed (ResScan 3.7) and have ordered a CME50-F oximeter that should arrive on Friday.

Can someone point me in the appropriate direction to learn how to interperate the reports from the software and what they mean. I am planning on seeing my doctor in June after working with my machine for a few more weeks.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lisa
