one month on cpap and more tired than before
Re: one month on cpap and more tired than before
Should I try some sort of tape to close my mouth and see how I feel if so, what kind or what should I do?

That would probably be the quickest and easiest (and least expensive) option to try. Many of those who tape their mouths use a blue, easy-release painter's tape.tammyv wrote:Should I try some sort of tape to close my mouth and see how I feel if so, what kind or what should I do?

Better still, get a full face mask. Then you don't have to worry at all about keeping your lips sealed.

Re: one month on cpap and more tired than before
I have been on CPAP therapy for over 3 months and I am more tired than ever, shouldn't I have at least some improvements in my energy. I use a nose pillow and and a chin strap and feel like I am sleeping well and getting through the nights, I might leak some air out of my mouth but I dont think much.. One of the techs at the sleep lab was no comfort and started naming alot of possible diseases and told me to get a medical workup. I was hoping having them raise my pressure to my prescription strength would help but still nothing. Should I be getting to be at any particular time? If I get to be sort of late 2 and I sleep til 9 isnt that fairly good?

tammyv mentioned she had fibromyalgia. My wife has as well. Besides the persistent pain of fibro it is also associated with sleep disorders. My question for tammyv is how is she doing since her first post and if she has tried the prescription drug Lyrica? It has substantially helped my wife with her fibro symptoms.
