resurrecting.

Anyone try the new model? I'll be calling them for a demo (Im at RT at a DME and a CPAP user). I'll post a review once I can evaluate it

I'd like to try it, but think it's really overpriced.

I have tried the new model sleep weaver cloth mask. I do not like it. I like the older model, they need to have both of them. My mom likes the new model it fits better on her face and she does not have any leaks. If it was not for the cloth mask she would not use her machine. She has been on cpap since Oct 2009. When my older cloth mask is no longer useable I do not know what I will do.

I wore it last week in my sleep study and loved it. Just got my machine and mask brought out today. I would pay 170 in a heartbeat after wearing that plastic silicone crap.

Hello

Since they no longer make the old model I am now using the new cloth mask. I have gotten use to it since my last posts. My husband and mom also use it they both like it alot. I know my husband would not be using his cpap mahcine if it was not for the cloth mask. I like the cloth mask better than the other type of cpap masks that I have used( resmed swift for her, and Ultra mirage, my mom used a different company mask and she hated it. Glad the cloth mask is working for you eric.

I bought the new sleepweaver and it does not work very well. It leaks like a sive. It hard to ajust and it is anoying. I just lost 129.95 on it. Don't waste your money.

Have you tried calling the company for a refund? If you bought it for a DME they should be able to take it back and exchange it with the company for a new one. At last this is what my areas Circadiance rep offered that to us.

Once I looked it over and saw how the straps were, I found it pretty easy to fit as far as me fitting it onto a patient, never tried to fit myself to it.

I fit one patient for it and it fit like a glove and he really likes it, though yeah, the price is pretty spendy but insurance will reimburse for it like any other mask

Have you had a chance to test this ting out on patients? It looks interesting.

If anyone is having a problem with the sleep weaver mask contact Kathy at the compnay she is the wife of the ceo/owner etc.She is very nice and helpful. I brought her the attention that my husband is having trouble with the newer model and she is trying to find him some of the older model ones. She will even tell you what to do if you are having trouble with leaks. Also look at the video at the site of the compnay.

I bought a sleep weaver for my husband. If you buy it at cpap.com it is $120 I believe. If you buy it from the company itself it's $170 which doesn't make sense. I 've tried it and love it compared to others.. Now that I've been diagnosed and was sent a Comfort Gel which only lasted 1 day on my face, would rather die earlier than to have to wear that every night so it's going back and will be replaced with the sleep weaver. No marks, you can wear glasses to read, etc before falling asleep. It's great if you're a side sleeper or sleep with your face in the pillow. Hardly know that it's there. It sure beats hard plastic. I don't know what the leakage amt is. I have the s 9 but it doesn't tell you amount of leakage but my ahi hasn't changed so I guess it's working ok. That's my 2 cents worth.

thats cool. the reason for the price difference is the mark up. cpap.com probably gets them for like $100 each (+/-) and then only marks them up a little. Much like walmart does compared to other companies, the both work on the premise that they dont make as much on each individual item but hope to sell a lot.

If you hold down the two silver keys next to the lcd screen for a few seconds it will tell you what your 95th percentile leak rate was for the night.

I was reading cleaning instructions for the sleepweaver--It seems after you clean and dry it, you TAPE it back together.
Funny, by the photo, I would have thought a pastry bag nozzle would be much better. . .

Still, if they had a full-face, I would most certainly give it a shot.

This was my first mask 4 weeks ago.... love it! It is very comfortable and easy to maintain. I didn't take it all apart to clean it...just washed the whole thing (w/o head gear) in sink with gentle soap and water. I imagine the tape eventually wears out and needs to be replaced. I went to the Swift LT for Her nasal pillows to give those a try, and I got much better AHI results with the pillows. I may try the Sleepweaver again with a different pressure setting to see if I can attain the same great results. I had only one leak with this mask, but solved that issue with moleskin. Very comfortable and easy to sleep with.
