I've used a DC cord and the battery adapter for 5 seasons with my old Respironics Pro 2 with now problems. I changed an M Series last winter and now find that is won't run on the battery. In the attached photo I hope you can see the differences in the machine ends. My 120V cord end is on the left. It has a little groove close to the end, which I assume has to do with a retaining clip in the machine. The smooth and longer end is on my DC cord. The photo of the Respironics cord on CPAP.com matches my cord which doesn't work. Respironics Cust. Svc. indicated they haven't change cords in the past 5 years. Can someone who still uses a Respironics Pro 2 tell me if their 120V cord end matches which of these, smooth or with groove? Is the logo on the cig lighter end a match? I need to order the correct one, and don't have time for errors!! Rafting season looms!!!
Thanks all!!

I have this DC cord from cpap.com
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... -cord.html Site says it works with all M Series machines. I have a older M Series Plus and Intellipap APAP. Works on the Intellipap just fine. Not tried it on the M Series yet, but it's a Respronics cord, so I'm assuming it will work fine. I'll try it tonight and let you know if it works on mine.
Hope this helps

Thanks!! I'm trying to sort out the "it should work" with 2 online DME, Resipironics and what I have in my hand. The CPAP.com picture of a Respironics on their site doesn't have the little rib. It looks like mine, that wiggles and breaks connection, even when held tight with a rubber band or a wedge to hold it in.... I wish I could remember if the cord I have come in a Respironics bag. The DME I got it from admits keeping a generic and the name brand at the time. Does your Respironics cord have the little groove towards the end?
I'm in fear I'll have to camping and have a miserable time due to poor quality sleep!!!

I think it looks like the one on the right in the picture, but I'll check. The end of the one on cpap.com looks like the one on the right. My M Series Plus is the old (discontinued) model, so I don't know if it's the same set up as yours.

checked my dc plug just now. It seems to work fine in my M Series Plus with a battery. Just ran it a few minutes, but it seems to fit tight and not easily pull out. The DC plug does not have a groove in the end. My power plug AC does have a groove like yours in the picture. I don't know why the DC cable would be loose in yours. It seems to fit as tight as the AC cable in mine. But my machine is a M Series Plus, not the M Series Pro like yours. That might make a difference. Could your DC cable be just a little bit warn on the end, just enought to be loose in your M Series? Don't know. That's about all I can think of that would cause it to be loose.
My DC Responics cable is the same model # as what the M Series manual recommends for my machine. Might check your manual if you haven't already and see if it gives a recommended DC cord. Or e-mail cpap.com or call and see what DC cord they would recommend for your M Series Plus.
I hope this helps some. Not much help, I know. But that's about all I know to tell you. Unless you can get your DME to get one in soon for you to try, you might want to just take a 50/50 chance on a new one.
Good luck and have a great time rafting!

I bought my 12vdc cord in 2006 I used it on my Pro2, and my M-Series. I got a new M-Series about 6 months ago now. 22Dec09. I use the original 12vdc cord that I got on both of my machines I still have my Remstar Plus from 5 years ago my 12vdc cord works on it also,
