I was 38 when I was diagnosed, although I suspect that I've had OSA for years before being diagnosed.

I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago by accident (took hubby in to doc for snoring) and I am now 53.
I know I started to have some serious complications from this severe osa over fifteen years ago, and Im sure I had it in
college, as my team mates would comment on my choking noises when I was sleeping on overnight sport trips.
I had NO idea I had this, I attributed all my health issues to other things. Im so thankful I found out!

I was diagnosed last fall at age 56 but am sure that I have had it for years. It runs in my family, but apparently only on the female side. My mother's sister was diagnosed about 15 years ago. During the last year, her eldest daughter and I were diagnosed. based on that I convinced my mother to get tested even though she doesn't snore. Sure enough she has moderate OSA. sooo.. age at diagnosis

the males in the family who have been tested do not have sleep apnea.

I was just diagnosed in March and I am 30 years old. I have known something was wrong with my sleeping since I was about 20 but they kept telling me I was tired because I have twins

I was officially diagnosed 15 years ago at age 40, but I had symptoms for over 10 years before that. My hubby was waking me up during the night telilng me to breath long before we ever heard of sleep apnea. Eventually I heard about it, but then took a few years to seek treatment and another year or two to convince my insurance company to do a sleep study. Grr..

My Mom was diagnosed but has refused the Machine.. My DAd probably had it, but would never seek treatment. He passed away 10 years ago in his sleep, but he did have heart issues for years, so it is assumed he had a heart attack. He was 70 and we are all thankful for the many years we did have him. I have one brother and one nephew that have been diagnosed and are on treatment. So, I guess it does run in our family, but not per gender or side of the family.

I was diagnosed by my wife at 65, but it took her over 5 years to convince me to do something about it. So I guess my answer is age 70.

I was diagnosed at age 50 but I have been snoring like a machine since at least 15 years ago. I have been on BP medication since 9 years ago.

Nine years ago I was feeling tired each day at wake up but Dr told it could be depression (what a stupid diagnose, I was only tired) and he never send me to be tested

Finally an ORL send me to a sleep specialist because I told him I was snoring very loud, I thank this ORL. It was just in time, my condition get really worsening 10 months ago and now I have been 4 months on cpap with at the wrong pressure and one month on auto cpap.

I regret I didn't push the first Dr to send me to the sleep test.

I was correctly diagnosed for 2 months, then misdiagnosed for 19 years, and (presumably correctly) diagnosed for two weeks. I would like a refund.

Officially diagnosed at age 30... currently almost 33. Probably had OSA since at least teenage years (and they totally missed a diagnosis at every possible moment, including the time I was in the hospital twice at the age of 19. I mean, i've snored like a trucker for years and complained about poor sleep). Luckily the son of a friend of my parent's got diagnosed with OSA, he's about my age and had similar complaints... my mom put 2 and 2 together and urged me to get tested. Bless her, it saved my life! I used an anti-snoring device for about 2-3 years before the official OSA diagnosis, which worked somewhat but not completely.

When I saw the sleep doc for the first time at the intake interview, before the PSG, she said she wouldn't be surprised if I did turn up having OSA due to my facial structure (small chin, receding jaw, low hanging uvula, small inside of the mouth, thick neck - yeah i had gained a lot of weight).

OK, so the first official dx was just this year - at 38. But I got the first "That's not allowed" (in regard to snoring) from my wife on our honeymoon. It went from there to "You should consider a sleep study" about 10 years ago, then "I really want you to get a sleep study" about 5 years ago, then "GET A SLEEP STUDY!!!" Of course, being as bullheaded (or thickheaded?) as I am, it took a camping trip, where the guy in the next bunk was shaking me awake in the middle of the night so everyone else could get some sleep, to get me to make that appointment.

So I've had about 6 nights of sleep "on the box" and I do feel marginally better and seem to have gotten used to the mask. I'm still dealing with occasional leaks, etc., but at least I'm not throwing the mask across the room in my sleep. I hope to get a better look at therapy data in the next day or so (haven't had a chance yet).
