Has anyone used the Contour Products CPAP Pillow? Is the $59.95 you have to pay worth it?

I have this pillow. Once you get used to it , it will get a little soft and it flattens a little so I heard some where or read about getting another piece of foam to put under it. I some times use it for watching tv, but when I turn over to sleep on the other side, I feel like there isn't enough pillow under my head. I did make myself a pillow pal and it works great for sleeping too and for watching tv. I got my pap pillow at Jim's Pharmacy here in town and it was on sale. It is a comfortable pillow, but might be better to get a foam about an inch thick to put under it. They sell foam at the Joann Fabric and you can get it thicker or thinner if you like. I can't tell you what the foam costs, but I don't think it is very much. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

I was thinking about getting one of these too. I'm doing ok as far as hose/mask management goes. However, I have condition that results in painful spasms in my neck and cpap has aggravated it. I was hoping maybe better pillow would help take the pressure off.

I just got this exact pillow. Faye is correct about it needing and extra bit of foam underneath. I got the medium pillow based on my weight but it is a little too flat. Right now I have a towel under it, but I think I will buy a piece of foam. Other than this issue, I have been sleeping much more comfortably with it. If you have wide shoulders or are top heavy, you may want to get the larger size so that it will be higher already.

I bought a cpap pillow from buy.com, it was the hudson medical brand. Quite firm, pillow case could be softer but I've had it for 4 months now and works fine for me.

I have this pillow also and like it. I do put another pillow underneath it, just a regular pillow and this works well for me.

Thanks all for the replys, I'm thinking about getting it. I'm a side sleeper with a FFM and a regular pillow there is alot of presure on the mask and sometimes it moves.

I cut up my memory foam pillow to fit. I downloaded Karen's pillow pattern on this forum and used it to cut the sides out of my favourite pillow. Works great!!! My quattro fits nicely into the cut outs. I am a side sleeper too and turn over a couple of times a night with no problems.
Cheers ..Nan

Rosie thanks for the hint.

I just bought this pillow. I like it a lot! If someone tries to take it away, they'll have a fight on their hands!

I must be the odd duck again. I also have this pillow and I don't like it at all. Matter of fact it's been used a couple of times and then put under my bed and that's where the pillow has stayed. So if anybody wants they can have it!

Not sure how it would work with a FFM long term, but I bought a Bed, Bath, & Beyond sidesleeper king size pillow, and BB&B sidesleeper standard pillow, and stack them. The stand on top of the king gives me a nice soft ledge for the mask to drop over if necessary.

I have used this with my Comfortlite 2, my Headrest, and my Zzz-mask full face.
