Swift FX and auto pressures

Post by zaban3 » Mon May 03, 2010 6:21 pm

Just curious if anyone know the answer to this. Since July, 2009 my auto pressure 90% has been consistently between 9 and 10 using the Swift LT. Just switched to the Swift FX and my pressure is at 12. My AHI is about the same and leak rate is actually less with the FX.

If I remember correctly... the FX Exhaust Air rate is about the same as the Swift II which is quite a bit higher than the LT.
You can feel significantly more air out of the port.

I don't think it would raise your pressures that much but perhaps some.
I'm not sure what your settings for mask are, but the machine has based all its data on what you tell it.
I found leak rates higher on the FX than the LT for me but... it is very subjective on masks, especially pillows.

Hope that helps.

I too have found leak rates higher on the FX than the LT for me as well----the LT I have zero leak rates. Still trying to get comfortable with the FX,,,,,,,...................
