users of liberty full face mask.
I have been using a cpap machine, since feb 2010 ! I have a remstar heated humidifier.Phi;ips Respironic remstar auto flex. with a pressure, of 7-10. My question is I just received a new resmed liberty mask. Iim awaiting for monday, to have the respitory, guy come to make sure of my fit! what I would like to know people using this mask, what they think of the over all use of it ? My guy that is working, with me seemed a little negative about it. I currently use a full face fisher pakeykel 432. If works ok, but is very bulky. And I can't wear it when first going to bed. I like to watch tv, a little and sometimes fall asleep. That is why Iim swiching to the liberty. As I also breath through my mouth, and need the mask covering my mouth. Also, I would like to know about any users of the hybrid. Thank- You All, to who responds. Slots girl.
Re: users of liberty full face mask.
Last night was my first night with it, and it was great.
I started in Feb 10 also, started with a FullLife, but it destroyed the bridge of my nose, and then went to a ComfortGel nasal, but had serious leak problems and couldn't keep my mouth closed.
My RT was a little skeptical on it too. I think they see the hybrid as being "gimmicky". After he couldn't get eight other full face masks to seal properly, he pulled out the Liberty and it sealed immediately. He sent me home with it yesterday and I could hardly wait to go to bed and try it out.
Worked like a champ. You do have to be a bit patient with it at first. It can be difficult to adjust properly, and if it's not right it will leak and whistle. This is my first experience with nasal pillows too, so that takes a bit of getting used to. However, it's the first night since I started therapy that I haven't been awoken several times having to readjust a leaking mask.
In other words, I dig it...
Best of luck!

Re: users of liberty full face mask.
I have only used it for one night so far, but was very happy with it. Fewer leaks than w/ the FFM's and I also found that it did not make my face sore in any specific place and I did not wake up with mask indentation on my face. I tried it for only a few minutes several months ago and I felt too claustraphobic to use it at that time. Now that I am more comfortable w/CPAP therapy, I gave it another try, and was very glad that I did.
THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONDES ON LIBERTY MASK..
Thanks- to the two that responded, about the liberty mask. That at least gives me some hope. Slotsgirl.

Love my Hybrid! Fit feels quite different than the Liberty (I can't make the Liberty quit leaking)...if the Liberty doesn't work out, get them to order you a Hybrid and give you all 3 sizes of pillows and 3 sizes of oral cushions that come standard with the mask.
