Hi everyone
Well I'm new here and new to CPAP, currently being in week 3. At the moment I'm on a 1 month trial with a Resmed S9 and humidifier and Activa LT. But I had a follow up yesterday and decided to try out the Swift FX (yes I'm going really well with the treatment, apparently).
Today I dig out the Swift naslal pillow thing and decide to give it a try while watching a video. But it does fit into the climateline hose! It short hose just slides inand out of the climateline connector, there is nothing that locks a connection.
So I've try everything I can think of to connect a swift to a climateline hose, frustrating few hours, and now I'm here. It is a stupid question, but how do i connect this thing? Do I need some attachment? Do I pull something off the Activa? It would be really great if anyone can give any guidance.
Sorry for this quesiton but I'm on the road until next Friday and can't get back to the supplier in that time if I do need a connector. Plus I really what my wife to hear if I snore this weekend, while using the swift, instead of next week when I only hve one for week before buying.
I also have question about travelling, if anyone has some good suggestions about decent travel luggage to hold the CPAP, a laptop and a few papers that can be carried onto airplanes. But I'll save that until I have time to do more research on here.
Thanks for any help.

Re: How to connect mask
Hi MedH
First of all, welcome to the Forum, especially to another Aussie .
Without trying to be smart why not phone your supplier, and check it out with them. I now use a full face mask, so cannot help you there.
I also suggest changing your header to something like -
Help needed with Swift FX nasal pillow mask.
Anyhow, this post will bump the thread back to the top, and hopefully you will get help soon.
cheers

Re: How to connect mask
CPAP masks have a standardized connector size so you probably left it at home. Sometimes people get new tubing and mistakenly throw the connector away with the old tubing. You can try taping the ends together to get you through your trip. Try to use tape that doesn't have an odor.
Good Luck
Good Luck

Help needed with Swift FX mask
Thanks for the Welcome and suggestions.
Unfortunately, there was no connector with the swift nasal pillow thing. It's a loaner on trial for the next 2 weeks and what they gave me is all I have. Still at home BTW. I might try the tape idea or looks like I'll just have to stick with the Activa nasal mask. I also have nothing with the climateline tubing or other equipment again on loan for a trial period.
I thought perhaps that I was missing something obvious that might be an easy fix. I guess not. oh well.
Also a good suggestion to ring the supplier and I'll have to do that sometime next week. But unfortunately for now, they close at 1 pm on a Saturday and I sutpidly didn't check out the mask until 3 pm. Not open Sunday and I'm on a plane at 6 am Monday. Anyway, this is entirely my fault so I'll just ahve to wait until next week.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

Re: Help needed with Swift FX mask
Does your Activa mask have a connector that you could "borrow"?

Re: Help needed with Swift FX mask
The Activa only really has the rotating bit that is connect onto the mask. I thought perhaps I had to disconnect and use it. But I tried and it seemed to require breaking to get it out.
Re: Help needed with Swift FX mask
Do a search on resmed mask quick connector to see what the piece looks like to see if you happen to have it but don't know.
