OMG! I've just looked at the manual:

5. Accessories
A. A hanging rope
<snip>
Be cautious of the hanging rope, please do not break the hanging rope during usage to avoid device damage. Please don’t use hanging rope if allergic to hanging rope
On a more serious vein: they also say not to use it for more than 2 hours on the same finger.

English translated from Chinese is often my favorite dialect. Give a manual writer enough rope, and he'll hang us all.

Yeah. Anyone with a serious circulation problem probably shouldn't have any appendage pinched for very long, I wouldn't think. But the spring is very weak in this thing. Not nearly as much grip as your average hospital fingertip sensor, in my opinion. It isn't half as strong as my other pusle-ox.

Here is my report from last night:

That probably explains why my left index finger hurts so much...and why I had to move it over to my right index finger around 7am....

Jeff, do the SpO2 events on your oximeter software report correlate with your breathing events that night, as shown in ResScan? It sure would be nice if there was a way to combine the information from both software programs! Has anyone figured out a way to do that?

They events registered on my SPO Medical pulse oximeter correlate almost perfectly with the ones ResMed registers on the Autoset II. When the got seriously out of sync I discovered the Autoset's clock had opened a gap with the real time.

This was often not the case with my PB420E -- it was reporting one thing, while the pulse oximeter was reporting differently.

A good graphics editor will allow you to paste plots from both into one document (do a screen capture of each then paste). Then you just resize one to the other ... that's how I do it anyway.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Thanks, DreamStalker. That's what I do too. It would just be so great if there was a way to merge the data from both programs!

Anyways...the CMS50F is what I got....and I've only used it twice since I got it....first time I used it was June 3rd....and second time was last night.

The battery won't show full charge anymore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with tons of pulse "events". Wait, that came out wrong. What I mean is--I got the same pulse oximeter, and got it for the "oxi". And yet there's the pulse chart down below. And now on XPAP, my green "oxi" chart looks pretty good, usually about 96% average, with 0-3 "events" using the default parameters. But there are usually 40-60 pulse "events" and I don't know whether I should worry about them or not. What is the significance of the pulse events?

Yeah, I was wondering if the pulse events was something I should be concerned about. Not sure how I might bring it up with my doctor though....but still feeling tired during the day and even falling asleep for a few seconds now and then, is something do want to bring up at my next appointment.

I have the data-less wonder that lets the provider know how often and how long you use it. You all have some experience with these oxi's, what's the favorite? How long does the lithium batt really last before you need to send it off for a new one?

I've only owned one oximeter (the Contec CMS Model 50-E), which I talked about in detail in an earlier post on this thread. I really like it. It has the rechargeable lithium battery. I've only used the oximeter three times so far, so I have no idea how long the battery will continue to hold a charge.

I would also be interested to know how long the lithium battery lasts before needing replacement.

Thought I would post that I just found the CMS50D-plus unit for $67 shipped. A pretty killer deal.

Dear Friends,

I also have the CMS 50 D Plus - brought my reports into the cardiologist because my lowest pulse reading (not average, but lowest) was 36 bpm - which alarmed me - don't want to drop dead in the middle of the night! He said it was fine. Not to worry. Oxygen levels look good - cpap has really helped. During my sleep study I was only down to 88% but, in my case, I really felt it - was fatigued for 7 years! Now my oxygen hovers between 96 and 98% at night. Much better!

I find it very easy to replace the two AAA batteries and have already used this little item for 4 nights. I don't feel the need to wear it every night, but like to check things out now and then.

Regards to all,

Jersey Girl

OK, thanks for the generic "fraud"/boogeyman alert, lol. Have you bought from DHgate and been swindled? How about eBay? I've had better customer service from eBay sellers than many online "stores." Further, DHgate takes Visa and eBay does not. Visa will be my "fraud" protection. And DHgate has an escrow procedure that even eBay does not! Have you ever ordered anything directly from China, HK or Taiwan before? I have and have always been very pleased. The janky Internet shops this unit is available at here in America aren't exactly Nieman Marcus either. And it's not like the CMS50D-plus is some hot-selling designer brand that is ripe for knock-offs - lol. On top of that they are ALL cheap Chinese garbage anyway. So I'm not sure what the fraud alerting/fear mongering is about? More than that this unit will be used to see if oxygen should be given - oxygen is not like radiation therapy or anything.

So you're welcome for me taking the time to sign up here and post something potentially helpful as it seems many here care a lot about price.
