I am still a newbie, just 3 weeks into all of this. Haven't had a long stretch of good night sleeps but a few here and there shows promise. I did have my first two nights in a row of good sleep Tues-Wed night and was ready to do cart wheels around the office, most people know I have gone to CPAP and check with me daily about my prior nights sleep, although they can usually tell by my spririt - or lack of it, My AHI still around 5.4, but I discovered I was mouth breathing so decided to try a new mask. Picked up my Liberty mask yesterday and couldn't wait to go to sleep. I guess my expectation were too high, I switched back to my old mask after about 30 minutes, then around 4:30 a.m. my mouth breathing woke me up, couldn't go back to sleep, so decided if I was just going to lay there I may was well put on my new mask and try to get use to it. Not sure if I ever went back to a good sleep or not. Alarm went off at 5:30...
My pressure of 10 seems a lot stronger in the Liberty mask, my other mask is nose pillows, Opti something.... Sorry I am rambling, I have a tendency to do than when I am tired. Amazing how you can lose that "good sleep" spirit after just one bad night.
I will try again tonight, and hopefully sleep better. Have a great day everyone.
First Night with New Mask (grrrrr....)
Re: First Night with New Mask (grrrrr....)
Try taping your mouth shut with medical tape of blue painters tape. That would be with your pillows, not your Liberty A lot of us do it every night and it works well for us.

Re: First Night with New Mask (grrrrr....)
I have the Innomed Hybrid, similar to the Liberty, and I am totally sold on it. It does take time to get things right. Make sure you spend some time, preferably in front of a mirror, and get all of the adjustments right. I likewise used to use the Optilife, but my mouth breathing required something more. There's a wealth of information on both the Liberty and the Hybrid. Use the search function to find information on how to properly fit this type of mask. Don't give up.. You'll get there.
