For newbies---Pad-a-cheek products might Help

Post by DannyPh » Mon Apr 19, 2010 2:22 pm

I have been on cpap for three years now and using the Swift II nasal pillows I was constantly having problems with the strap buckles making my Head sore where the buckles rubbed the Head. Thanks to the Wonderful Lady at Pad-a-Cheek Products I have resolved the Buckle Problem with the Pad-a-cheek buckle Pads. No More sore head ! For those newbies having problems( and we all have them in the beginning ) I suggest that you Browse the pad a cheek web site. http://www.padacheek.com

I agree, Karen(Padacheek) is the best! She is also a forum member. Karen goes to great lengths to try and make us more comfortable! So if you're having a comfort issue with your mask or straps, just contact her. She makes great hose covers too!

I also agree with you. I had trouble with sores on my forehead, ordered her product, and it have not had any problems since then. I am also having problems with my nose bridge and just ordered it and look forward to getting it and using it. Thank you Karen!!

I use a F&P full-face mask, and one of the discomforts is having my cheeks 'blow up' when my mouth is open. Air gets above my molars on my top teeth, and pushes outward on my cheek. Gentle pressure on my face just below my cheekbones prevents this from occurring. The side strap from the mask happens to run directly across the inflation point. Would one of pad-a-cheek pads exert some pressure on my face to relieve this?

Spoke with the nice lady who makes pad-a-cheeks. She said no one had ever mentioned using them to prevent cheek inflation, but that she'd custom make ones with extra padding for me if I thought they would help.

I use her forehead pads for the Activa and the Quattro, makes going to bed all that more snuggly.

oh my gosh! I was just trying to figure out how I could sew something up for my nasal pillow mask today because I get such
marks and rashes on my face from the headgear..

I think it might not help that I have dermographism. Does anybody else have that?

I am saving this webite and will order one of these very soon! thanks so much!

Did Pad a cheek on the straps help with cheek inflation? I have a DeVilbiss blue and the straps run right across the inflation point.
