Search on the topic 'ZEO' for many past comments & thoughts on it.

It looks interesting.

You'll have to change your preferred mask if you want to use the zeo. It sits exactly where the Quattro's forehead bridge sits. I'd suggest a hybrid or zzz full face, if you prefer full face.

I'm always in favor of more data. I do NOT like that all my personal data would be held on someone else's site, and that the only way to find out a fuller understanding of what my sleep architecture looks like or how my score is trending would be to go on line. It's highly likely, if they haven't already, that they'll attempt to make this a social-media interactive site where other people can see your 'scores', etc., like facebook for zeo owners. I have no idea what corporate deals are being made on an ongoing basis that will allow me to continue keeping my data on the site if I elect the more expensive option with the 'life-time' coaching option.

I would prefer to be able to download my data locally to my laptop, look at nightly graphs and detect trends by keeping my records at home on my own laptop - then if I want to, perhaps I might interact with other zeo owners on the site.

How do users of the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach like this product? Is it helpful at all? It is worth the investment?

I would love to hear some feedback - positive & negative.

Thank you very much!

Zeo Personal Sleep Coach. I believe the one person who I actually heard report on it found some problems, such as the machine reporting they were asleep when they weren't. They did not like the alarm feature whic is supposed to wake you at the optimum time between sleep cycles, feeling sometimes they could have slept longer. They were going to sell it after using it for about a month. Also they had a hardware problem, I believe of the machine not reading fromthe headband which was quickly remedied by the manufacturer.

I also heard Zeo mistakes wake for REM often. It's a good idea, but I don't think they are very accurate. From my understanding of polysomnography, yes, the headband is enough to pick up sleep vs. wake and also what stage of sleep. Also, computer software for detecting different stages of sleep is getting better. But, it is not good enough yet to stand alone without human involvement to determine what the different stages of sleep. A quick example is....on a polysomnogram, wake and REM look a lot alike. It takes an experienced tech to know the difference. Sometimes it's as simple as: you just started the study and the person is watching TV (you can see them with a camera) and the computer wants to call it REM...but you can see that they are awake.

I wouldn't spend my money on one. Stick to your machine's data and get an oximeter if you want to get fancy.
