ReScan Question

Post by pb5927317 » Wed Apr 14, 2010 8:20 am

I have been collecting data from my APAP machine now for about 4 weeks. I noticed on some days I have detailed records and on other days I dont. How do I make the machine collect the detailed records every day?

Looking at your equipment list image it looks like you have an S8 Autoset II? If that's the case, are you seeing days say older than 7 or 14 days not having any data or is it a mix and match of like yesterday not having data but the day before having data and the day before that not having data?

How are you connecting the S8 up to the PC are you using ResLink or the S8 data card?

Thanks
Dave

I have a Resmed s8 Autoset II with Rescan 3.7 software and smart card reader. I insert my card into the machine, put it in my smart card reader and it will show me ALL summary data for all of the days since I started cpap, but it will only show me DETAILED data reports for the last 3 days. I think that this is how it works.

Regards,

Jersey Girl

The best way is to read the card every day.

Summary data is held in the a data capable S8 model for a long time (up to 365 days of usage), but detailed data will get overwritten by more recent data after a few days (2 to 5 depending on the specific model), so it needs to be downloaded into ResScan within a few days.

Cheers,

Bill

If you are running ResScan 3.7 you have to select detailed data download each time you download data. For either 3.7 or 3.10 the setting to get detailed data is accessed by pressing the select button next to the data field on the download dialog. In 3.10 you can check the box to change the default setting.

With 3.10 and a S9, detailed and high res data can be overwritten when downloading data. To prevent this, select discard when the software asks if you want to override data.
