ok, got the software, now on to the second part of my question.....card reader vs. usb.

is it just a standard usb cable on both ends, or does one end require mini usb etc?

This is what you need ...

You may have to get it from a non-USA supplier or perhaps you can get lucky and find one for sale on an online auction site/craigslist.

It is not available to patients in the USA. That is why you need find an auction or supplier outside the USA.

I did a quick Google and found a link ....

Maybe you could try Google too?

The Card reader is much more convenient than the USB - otherwise you have to take the S8 to the computer (with power cable) all the time.

I'm a little late to this, but if youhave a macine with a standard SD card reader, you should be able to read the Resscan card. I "acquired" a link to download the driver for the SD card reader, but it didn't seem to work with Windows 7 (which means I already had the driver?). Anyway, with the Resscan SW, I can now read my data on a daily basis.

Note to self: don't forget to put the #*$^$%#&$ SDcard back in the machine each night or you can't store any data.

The S8 doesn't use an SD card.

I just want to second that the S8 does not use an SD card, and this is obvious to anyone who owns or uses the machine and knows what an SD card is.

Ooops, my bad.

I'm still new here and forgot to look at her machine. There is much I don't know. I thought people were confused about using the SD card.

I need to get a bit more observent. Perhaps, if I could get some sleep, it might help...

Why-- we're all here ready to answer OP's questions

geez, you just got a freebie with the software, why not try to take another swing for a free piece of hardware. It only just gives you some silly colored graphs and data on leaks, pressure, events.
asylvia wrote:and again, do you guys recommend the card reader or the usb adapter.
card reader requires multiple steps and ResScan card for S8 unit.
usb adapter is plug and upload right into pc without ResScan card

Results are same - lots of silly colored graphs, and even sillier reports
