donation of cpap related equipment

Post by Flower51 » Sat Apr 10, 2010 1:57 pm

My husband and I are humanitarian aid missionaries. If you'd like to bless someone in Cuba with your old working (with instruction booklet on how to set if you still have it) machine, masks, headgear (as long as you are otherwise in good health) or hoses/filters please contact me. They would be glad to receive anything clean that is in good working order. We just took in a 5 yr supply of colostomy bags for someone w/a colostomy and no bags so it occurred to me to ask for help in this area since I use this therapy myself and would be in bad shape without it. Hope someone out there can help! BTW I will look online or ask my own dme for some guidance on how to operate anything that comes w/out a booklet.

Thanks in advance to all who participate, Terry

What a wonderful idea! I have a 12 year old CPAP machine but I don't have the instructions anymore. Would it still be useful to you?

I'm guessing I could look online and see if there are any downloadable instructions. As long as it is in good working order I wouldn't want to turn it down. I just pm'd you.
Thanks for the response!!!! This is a great opportunity to help others and I'm really excited about the possiblilities. Thanks for being part of it. Terry

Just realized from a pm I got that I didn't include masks in the wish list. I edited my original msg just now to show that too....so one more time ....
If anyone would like to donate a working used machine (pls include directions booklet if you have it), humidifier, masks, headgear, hoses, pillows, prongs, filters, anything related to apnea therapy that I may be forgetting .... we would love to have it for humanitarian aid ministry. Of course masks, hoses etc...that have been used only if you were in otherwise good health w/out something infectious. You may have somethings tucked away in the closet that you've forgotten and things that were the wrong size, etc...These are for people who otherwise would have no access to this and no help for their apnea.
Love boldly, Terry
