CPAP at auction -- Tampa Bay area

Post by WAFlowers » Fri Oct 21, 2005 1:19 pm

The auction house I attend monthly http://www.bayareaauctionservices.com/ has some CPAP equipment up for auction tomorrow (Saturday). I believe it is all in a lot. I saw 4 CPAP machines -- the newest appeared to be a S6 -- some humidifiers (at least one appeared to be still sealed from the manufacturer), a few masks and a pile of hoses, still sealed in bags for the most part.

I have no interest in this, but I thought I'd post in case someone was interested.

Preview is today and tomorrow starting at 8am. Auction starts at 10am.

There is also a huge number of desktop computers, monitors, quite a few laptops, speaker systems, etc. A partial listing of items up for auction is at http://www.bayareaauctionservices.com/oct22.htm

The item that caught my eye was a vertical panel saw. I wish! However I doubt it will sell for much less than $500. . (It would be the perfect item to complete the "big tools" in my shop ... except for dust collection).

My hubby could use a really good 16 inch table saw with a 4 to 5 horse power motor.

You know that NO shop tool collection is EVER done?

You'll just have to start getting metalworking gear...

(I'd LOVE to have a nice CNC lathe)

WA...don't skimp on the DC. When I got my setup my shop became sooo much more useful. I can cut all day and never worry about inhaling dust and things stay much cleaner.

Vertical panel saw would be a good addition to any shop that has room for it!

Not sure about that 16" thing though!

My shop is 12x35 with an overhead garage door at one end and a person-sized door at the other. I'm sure I could squeeze a panel saw in it ... if I hadn't just bought a competition coilover suspension for one of my Miatas.

So many hobbies; so little money.

I have simple dust collection: a shop vac connected to a cyclone seperator (using the Lee Valley cyclone lid) which I connect to machines as needed.

Things like my 12" planer and 8" jointer make a lot of shavings, but not much dust. OTOH, my table saw and routers (plural) can make dust fast as you know. And I really have to work up a solution for my 14" bandsaw someday.

Dust masks are my friend. I need to buy more.

BTW, I've heard of and used 12" table saws, and I've seen photos of 14" models, but never anything bigger.
