Go ahead, folks, confuse me. (Like I'm not confused enough already!)
The ProBasics Zzz-Mask that I am using is NOT the same mask as the Drive Zzz-Mask. The ProBasics Zzz-Mask is NOT designed to fit under the chin. (If it is then I need a large and am doing great w/a Small reaching only to below my lower lip!).
I should mention that if you have a wide mouth, corner to corner, the fit "might" be a problem. The Small is a close call for me in that area.
Ozij, w/the PROBASICS Zzz-Mask I have the top straps very loose and the bottom straps snug by not overly tight. I put it on w/the bottom strap on the left not snapped in when I turn my PAP on while I'm laying down, if necessary I pull the mask away from my face and reset it so its comfortable w/no leaks around the eyes and a good fit around the corners of the mouth and then attach the left bottom strap too. Voila, I am set for the night. I can sleep both sides or my back.
Here is a sizing guide for it:

And here is some info on it from PMI (you have to scroll down the page)

Re: ZZZ Mask
Well, don't mean to be confusing but the masks are actually the same. As ozij stated it may be that APEX manufactures them. That's the best information that I've seen on that particular mask. Drive Medical actually manufactures alot of Durable Medical products.Slinky wrote:Go ahead, folks, confuse me. (Like I'm not confused enough already!)

I wear a large and as you pointed out the different sized masks will obviously fit different folks depending on their facial composition of course. I have not tried on any other sizes so only know how mine fits.

That's OK Slinky, I'm confused too.Slinky wrote:Go ahead, folks, confuse me. (Like I'm not confused enough already!)

It IS. Look at the (ridiculous) drawings in the so called manual you got with the ProBasics, and the drawings in the Drive manual on ruffinit's links. (OK, don't, I know you're not on broadband, and it takes ages...trust me on this). The drawings are identical, and in both cases, they look like whoever drew them never saw the mask in use -- they don't even show the strap on top of head...
I think the APEX manual - and some of the descriptions may have been created before the mask was -- I cetainly couldn't get the mask under my chin last night, although I did try it lower -- settled on the bone beneath depression in my chin. I still couldn't maintain a good seal -- especially on my side. The ProBasics Zzz-Mask is NOT designed to fit under the chin. (If it is then I need a large and am doing great w/a Small reaching only to below my lower lip!).
Thanks for the tips, Slinky. I'll try again tonight -- my problem is that with the top straps loose I get leaks near the bridge of my nose, or else the sleal flares out and cuts me -- I used a mask liner last night to avoid that. Leaked a lot...Ozij, w/the PROBASICS Zzz-Mask I have the top straps very loose and the bottom straps snug by not overly tight.
I did use the sizing guide before I ordered...

Re: ZZZ Mask
I wear the zzz mask. I'll post my solution to wearing it that's entirely large-leak free, but it's going to have to be tomorrow. It involves using the papcap. Sleep well.

Re: ZZZ Mask
Ozij, when you pull it away from you face, set it a skosh down your nose from where you really want it to set then slide it up in place. Just a hair below tho, just a little. You just want to have to push it up enough to turn the edge of the cushion under so its not cutting into the bridge of your nose. Use your fingertip along the seam line between cushion and face, that will usually seal those small leaks around the eyes. Or elsewhere too for that matter.
