s9 tonight

Post by Marke » Fri Apr 02, 2010 6:07 pm

Just got my s9 autoset today
Traded in an EscapeII, unfortunately the msp
did not give me the sd card that I'm assuming came with the unit.
My question is, can I use just a standard sd card that I can purchase
at my local stores or does it have to be a resmed which possibly is formatted to the machine.
I have rescan 3.10 and the clinicians guide, I am ready to go
just another small bump in the road till I get the sd card figured out.
I love this website all the info and quick responses from all you is very much appreciated
Thanks so much,
Marke

If you checked the SD slot and it's not already inserted (mine came that way), then go ahead and use any SD card
you have handy or buy one for around $10-$12 from Staples or the like.

Then turn the S9 on, insert the SD card (it will erase any existing files if present), and it will automatically format it
with the correct folders and files. You'll be good to go...

You should be able to use a standard 1GB SD card. It apparenlty is a waste of space to use anything larger and a 1GB card should be fairly cheap. I believe when you insert it into the machine it will be formatted and that data will then be loaded onto the card. My S9 came with the card and I have not had any trouble with it. I would call the DME and ask them where the card is. Every thing I have read says the card is included in the package.

In looking back I know my father had undiagnosed sleep apnea and he suffered greatly for it. I WILL NOT go through that. Using a cpap is easy compared to that.

Thanks for the info
I suspected that any card would do
but just wasn't sure if it would format it
Thanks again.
