Just returned from a visit to my DME. After 9 days (and nights) with the new equipment, I told him that I wanted to see a read-out of what's been going on. In less than 10 minutes, I had an 11 page report which he went over page by page explaining what the numbers and graphs meant! What a refreshing experience - to have someone pleasantly and patiently give me the concrete evidence I needed so I know that the therapy is working. My average AHI is 1.6, no major leaks, almost no snoring! The new mask is much more comfortable(I haven't snatched it off and thrown it against the wall a single time) and my husband says the machine is so quiet he sometimes wonders if it's on! What a difference a week makes.
I'm slowly learning some new dance steps
Hope this encourages someone else to take charge and keep at it!

Life is not waiting for the storm to pass; it's learning to dance in the rain.

Great report.
Good news for sure.

Excellent, ccm!
How nice that you have such a helpful DME.
A number of "good'un's" really are out there.

Congratulations, keep hold of them they seem really good. If I asked my doctor or sleep clinician to do this, the first thing is they say "I can't read the data from the machine".ccm wrote:Just returned from a visit to my DME. Sounds like you have a diamond DME there, don't lose them!
