cpapauction changed policy on prescriptions and masks

Post by coreyg » Thu Apr 01, 2010 10:27 pm

I just tried bidding on a mask at cpapauction and got a message saying I required a prescription. I know I looked a couple days ago and the FAQ said it wasn't needed, but now (unless I'm really missing something), they require it.

Now, if only I could get them to use my prescription from cpap.com correctly, I'd be fine.

This is the policy change based on our FDA regulations change. I still don't like it but so far I have been able to work within the system. I have been expecting cpapauction to catch up any time. If you have a script with cpap.com give them a call or e-mail and explain the problem with the script they will get it transfered over. I had to do this, it does not transfer automatic but it was not hard to get it straightened out.

I too was bidding on a mask. I had been bidding on a mask for a few days. I was out bided and I went to place a higher bid and I was informed that I needed a prescription.
My prescription has always been linked with cpap.com so I went to "pull" the script from cpap.com but this function does not seem to work anymore.
I am still a verified as a cpap.com customer but no RX. Not only did I loose the auction but now I have no way of buying on cpapauction.com until this matter is cleared up.
I wrote an email to cpapauction.com, let's see what they say.
Funny thing - all of this started when cpap.com went live with it's new look. Maybe the broker a like or something with their new e-store?

What Jerry said. I ended up doing the same thing.
I was thinking there's a place in there to indicate whether you have a prescription already on file at CPAP.COM......but, I may be mistaken......it's been awhile.

The rx on cpapauction have been updated. If you have a valid rx for the following: CPAP, APAP, BiPAP, BiPAP Auto, BiPAP ST, BiPAP Auto SV then you will be able to bid on masks and humidifiers. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Were you referring to one person on this? I have a valid rx on cpap.com and I'm still blocked on cpapauction even though I've sent a message about it and uploaded my prescription to cpapauction in addition to tying the cpap.com account (verified) to the cpapauction.

How long does it take to register in the system? I received my conformation e-mail from CPAPauctions this morning that they had received my prescription and I could start bidding, but it still tells me I need an Rx when I try to place bid.

I had problems with them reading my prescription correctly. I'd advise calling them to straighten it out.

Reading my cpap.com prescription failed but when it worked when I uploaded the scanned copy that cpap.com had online.

It was the next day when the upload was read.

Gentle people, we are talking about a government body (FDA) so logic has nothing to do with it

Cheers,

Dave
