My Encore

Post by cybergoon » Thu Oct 20, 2005 5:29 pm

I just started using My Encore tonight. So far everything seems to work pretty well, except for when I try to export pressure data. I get:

*****
An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediately.

Index was outside the bounds of the array.
*****

When I click on details, the following is what I get:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Neither way does it give any data in the outputted file.

Ideas?

The only error I've ever seen in MyEncore is when I didn't download data into Encore Pro before I ran it (the first time). After that, no errors. You have data in Encore Pro already, right? Sorry if this is not the answer you need, but it's the only answer I know for this.

Yes, I have data downloaded already and can access it all, just can't do that export type. Export Daily Data works fine.

I sent a PM to derek last night and he responded this morning requesting some information from me. I am working with him on this and hopefully we can track down what the problem is. You might send him a PM (private message) and let him know you are also having the same issue that I am. He will likely want some info from you as well.

Just uninstall, reboot and reinstall. I'll bet you're good to go after that.

Really think that will help? I just installed it fresh last night, so I doubt anything would change.

Yep..I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't think so. I'd actually boot to safe mode, uninstall, reboot (cold boot) and then be sure that any AV/Firewall stuff is shut down before I reinstalled.

I manage a network with over 25,000 wired nodes (more wireless and VOIP) and like a reboot, a reinstall is my favorite tool.
