Apria strikes again

Post by moombeam » Mon Mar 29, 2010 3:19 pm

I wanted to give MY Apria DME an allocade for good service.
My smartcard died denying access to any further data after Mar 24th.
In quizzing the forum I could erase my card via a utiiity on the internet.
Or buy a new card. Decided to opt out of those choices.
1 The card comes with the
machine for data purposes to given to the Dr for prove of compliance and progess for
therapy. Now do we really need to buy this card?
Called my DME APRIA they said " Come in and we will GIVE you A New One.
Walla -- went and received not one but two new cards just perchance one didn't work.

Now I have my security blanket back and feel much better.

I am so pleased

I wanted to give MY Apria DME an allocade for good service.
Silverdale WA.
I have taken care of my sleep therapy since joining this forum Sept 2008 with great
success.

Considering your positive comments...I don't understand why you titled your post the way you did......I was expecting a horror story.

LSAT, Maybe it is not so positive. There is so much going wrong at Apria that the employees do everything in duplicate and pray at least one works.

BTW, I much prefer your current nice avatar photograph over the previous one.

yea, I thought it would be a horror story also. I have never used them and from the reports on here I would be careful if I did. I had a co-worker go with them for her equipment. When they didn't think the check was coming fast enough from the insurance company they charged her the monthly rental. She had let them swipe her card when she started. We have 100% DMEquipment coverage. She had to cancel her check card, so they wouldn't bill anymore charges. She also was so fed up with it, she stopped using her machine.
As far as I know, of the people at work(3 of us) who are on CPAP I am the only one who is successful with therapy. That success comes from this forum and having a Doctor who will listen and then work will me.

It's great you are getting good treatment. And I think it is people like us who make the DMEs raise the level of support they offer.

Dori, That was addressed to LSAT not moombeam.

I had nothing but trouble with Apria when my insurance forced me to use them. Especially when it meant leaving the RT who had handled my cpap and me quite well from the beginning of therapy. So when I got Medicare as primary, I changed back to Lincare and have been there since.

People
I apologize for the subject line
However I am really sad
that people's experience here with Apria has been so negative;
that the postive of this particular Apria DME is unseen.
Therefore all Apria DME are painted with same brush; this is not always true of life.
