Do you need a prescription to buy masks online?

Yes. And that includes CPAPauction.com as well. If you have a xPAP machine, you can get a copy of your prescription from your doctor and/or DME. If they give you grief about that, remind them that you have a legal right to a copy of this information.

Actually, I purchased a mask from cpap auction with out a prescription. They do not require one for masks or mask parts. But, I do have a prescription just in case I want to purchase it from cpap.com.

Here is a statement from the CPAP Auction website:

"No, a prescription is not required to purchase non-machine items. You may bid on and purchase masks, tubing, humidifiers, filters, etc without a prescription. "

Cool. I stand (happily) corrected. That makes it much easier for most of us.

I still do wonder why https://www.cpap.com requires a prescription for a mask, while their sister site, the auction, does not? You'd think that they would both go by the same rules?

Maybe it is to be competative with EBAY. Ebay appears to allow the sale of masks.
