Help interpret numbers please

Post by josephnyc » Sun Mar 21, 2010 5:33 am

Hi,

I adjusted my machine's setting several months ago and would sure appreciate some feedback/insight into my numbers. I feel fine upon waking (except for the incredibly stiff back, but who knows if that's related).

Here's a summary chart, a single night chart and a compliance/stats chart.

Thanks very much!

Thanks!

Everything looks pretty good to me. AHI is fine. You could work on the leaks a bit. You want the leak line to be as straight as possible. If it were me, I'd work on the leaks and leave everything else alone.

Ditto with one exception. It appears that sometime you end up with more leaking than others. You max and 90% leak rates are a bit high. But I would not worry too much about those, since the do not appear to be constant.

One more important question. How do you FEEL with this therapy? If you are feeling better, then I would say the numbers are pretty much in agreement.

How nice to hear that my numbers are good!

Thank you to all for your comments.

I sometimes notice a the pillows are just not sitting snug and I can hear the leak. I fix it as soon as I become aware of it. I wonder if those are the leak spikes.

I feel far, far more rested with the therapy. So, between how I feel and my numbers, I'll leave that aspect my health-work alone.

Thanks again for a great forum and great people!

Your back may well be connected to your therapy! I've seen many comments by people here that when they sleep better they wake up stiff or sore. It's because we're not as restless as we are when we have apneic episodes. Maybe get some more exercise or buy a more comfy mattress!

Wow! I never thought that a more restful sleep would lead to greater back stiffness, but your explanation makes perfect sense.

Stretching in the morning and night, as well as getting out of bed slowly, makes a tremendous difference.

Thanks!
