Remstar Auto filter question
Remstar Auto filter question
I have a Remstar Auto with CFlex machine. Can I wash the white filter and reuse it or does it have to be replaced with a new one?
Re: Remstar Auto filter question
No, the white filter should be changed to a new one about once a month (depending on how dirty it looks) and the old dirty one thrown away.
The black foam filters can be washed and reused for a long time.

Re: Remstar Auto filter question
You cannot wash and re-use the white filters. From my understanding, it would break down the material in the filter and make it an unusable mess.djdixie wrote:I have a Remstar Auto with CFlex machine. Can I wash the white filter and reuse it or does it have to be replaced with a new one?
Personally, I've never used the white filters (even though I do have a number of them). I just rinse/wash out the foam one every two weeks.
Having other respiratory issues (like asthma) might be a reason to use the white ones. Otherwise, they're probably aren't necessary.
