SNAKE ATTACK!!

Post by kbobtn » Sat Mar 13, 2010 8:34 am

Last night as I walked near our house, I was attacked by a huge python. As we struggled on the ground, I managed to grab it just behind its head - just like we've all seen on TV. As I held it at arm's length, it was writhing around and making a loud noise, almost a roaring. When I woke up, I found that I had managed to detach the hose from my mask, and the air was blasting out unrestrained.

Next week I'm coming up on six months on BiPAP. Fortunately, most nights aren't nearly so exciting, and in fact most are amazingly quiet and restful. This is due in no small part to those who have answered my posts here, and maybe more to all of those who have allowed me to read about their problems and solutions to our common affliction. I never imagined that sleep apnea was as common as it is.

Thanks to all of you! I hope my dream gave you a little chuckle, surely my wife was surprised to find me laughing out loud (muffled through the mask) in the middle of the night. My laughing is a lot more common now than it was a few months ago.

Bob

My cat has occasionally felt the same way about my hose which is why it is patched with duct tape.

Several dreams last night- none quite as exciting as a python attack- but I awoke with a smile on my face (not that kind of dream, either)----

But, just the ability to dream again makes me smile (most of the time)

Okay, I think I've settled down enough to .. typ... ...type this reply... ...to this post. Oh, dear. Pardon me, I've got to wipe the tears from my eyes. I can imagine myself on the ground wrastling with that python. So, I'm not laughing at you but definitely with you. Thanks for sharing it! I will have bouts of chuckles the rest of the day.

Bob, that was a fun read.

Have enough of those kinds of dreams and you can publish a little book of Tennessee Tall Tales. Pay for a new mask or two.

Like others, laughing with you about the dream. BlackSpinner, I had to laugh about your cat attacking the hose, I am grateful my 2 cats haven't yet tried to attack it. It probably helps that both are older cats (14 & 15).

No dream but I woke up wondering why the mask was so noisy before I realized I was hearing increase car noise on the road outside my house because it was raining.

My cat funny for the day was being grateful I was wearing a ffm and not the nasal pillow when the cat laying on me sneezed with her face pointed at my face.
