depends on what you're using to pay for it...

If you're using insurance, you might have to visit the DME

If it's coming out of your bank account... online will be cheaper.

My DME was recommended by my brother, their customer service folks are great. The person responsible for my area could be better, she's very very 'casual'. I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm still looking for the 'perfect' mask so decided to pay them a visit, even though it's an hour drive. I figure will have the chance to try out their entire inventory of masks (after arming myself with info from cpaptalk!) before taking one home with me....looking at a FFM type as possible alternative to using my favorite blue painters tape, and as a backup for when I get a cold and need to breathe through my mouth.

If you use the DME you have a 30 day exchange priviledge on the mask if it doesn't work out. Not so with the internet unless you purchase return insurance which will wipe out the $$$ savings

Be sure to verify that before purchasing, preferably getting it in writing. Not all DME have a 30 day exchange privilege.
