I am trying different masks, and am wondering what everyone else is getting and with what masks....
Thanks for any input from anyone.

Re: So What is Considered a Good number for Mask leaks
Dear Lou,
I consistently have 0.00L for my leaks - essentially, 0. I use 3 masks - Swift LT for her with nasal pillows, Comfort Gel Nasal Mask, and Mirage Soft Gel nasal mask. I don't seem to have a leaking problem. I think that the goal is to have 0, but I have had as high as .4. I have only been on cpap since Jan 8. I am sure that others with more experience will be able to advise.
Wishing you peaceful, restorative sleep,
Jersey Girl

Leaks are inevitable. Remember there's this thing attached to your face that's not supposed to be there.
0 would be the goal. At the very least you are looking for a nice flat line approaching 0 in the leaks detailed view for most of the night.
If it ALL OVER THE PLACE for the majority of the night. You have a problem.

I believe the goal for your Swift II mask is 0.4 l/sec.
I too use this mask and have some difficulty keeping the leaks down with my min pressure of 13. I do use the Lansiloh cream around the nostrils which seems to help.

Re: So What is Considered a Good number for Mask leaks
The ResMed takes into account the expected flow, so your goal should be 0. ResMed considers leak under 0.4 L/sec to be acceptable, but it is still best to minimize it. I can get a leak of 0 most nights using my Activa LT mask, but when I wear a full face (ComfortGel FFM is the best for me), I don't get that but stay under 0.4 L/sec in any case. Also, make sure you set the mask type on the machine when you try different masks so it can calculate the leak rate correctly.

I am using a Resmed VPAP Adapt SV machine. How would I tell the leak rate?
