Card reader

Post by ched03 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 2:04 pm

Do you have to have a special card reader to read the card that comes with my Resmed Elite II? Is it just an SD card? I have a multi-card reader and was wondering if it would work. I know I need software, but I didn't want to get the software if I have buy and expensive reader too.

I don't have that machine but why don't you try to read the card? Plug it in your computer and it works you will see the card and data. Probably you will see just a bunch of files, but that is enough to know you can use your card reader.

Thanks, I guess it can't hurt. Should have tried that earlier.

As far as I can tell the S8 has a smart card and has to use the smart card reader sold on cpap.com.

Standard computers rarely have built-in Smart Card readers that can read S8 Elite II CPAP Machine data cards. This is the card reader that you need https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -cpap.html.
