I didn't get the new flyer from pur-sleep. Not sure why since I always check my junk mail folder since I sometimes get stuff there that isn't junk.

What are they coming out with?

The new Pur-Sleep product is called "CPAP VaporClear: Sinus Blaster". The scents are as described by yorkiemum01. Here's a link to the product page: http://www.pur-sleep.com/products/prodD ... rch=&page=.

Thanks. I had looked on the site before I posted and didn't see this particular offering. I really appreciate the link.

Okay, am I the only one that finds this particular ad really confusing? I read it and then reread it and still am lost.

How many scents are there? Two or four? What is the difference between the Calm and the Vapor?

It's confusing.

And neither scent is new. "Calm" and "Clear" have been around for ages -- its just a new package.

Two scents come with "CPAP VaporClear: Sinus Blaster": one 5ml bottle of Clear (a mixture of peppermint and lime) and one 5ml bottle of Calm (a mixture of eucalyptus, lavender, and rosemary). As ozij said, the scents have been around for a while. They're selling it as a package, with the two scents plus one metal diffusion stand and four reusable diffusion pads.

Hi all, can you tell me how effective this has been for you? I have been considering this for a while. Is it worth my while to order the sample pack (29.00 dollars) for my first purchase?

Mary

Sleepymary21,

I can't say yet if it is worth your while. I just placed my first order and it isn't here yet. I wanted to try out the lavender and see how I like it. As soon as I try it and a couple of others, will let you know how it is.

Wishing you pleaseful, restorative sleep,

Jersey Girl

I do not use the Pur-Sleep nightly. I use it when I can't seem to relax and fall asleep. It helps by calming the senses and providing a nice scent to fall asleep with. Early in my therapy I used it regularly and it was helpful in getting used to therapy -- although I do admit that they way I ended up trying Pur-Sleep was when Bret (the founder of Pur-Sleep) offered some of the forum members samples for their feedback. I had been interested in the aromatherapy, but hated to spend the money on it if it wasn't effective. I was pleasantly surprised and have since had to purchase my "stock". My favorite scents are Calm, Spice, Creme, Chocolate. Some of the other scents, I find to be overpowering -- but others have made the same comments about the ones I enjoy. It is very individual as to which scents you will prefer.

I have been using the aromatherapy more due to my stressful level at work. I find I am able to relax quicker and hence fall asleep sooner.

You can also find different aromatherapy products in health food stores. Make sure they are pure and do not have additives that maybe determintal to your health. I find that the citrus are my favorites. Place a few drops on a cotton ball and place near the intake of you machine.

NEVER put anything directly into the humidifier -- no matter how tempting it maybe!!! To much danger in harming yourself or your equipment by doing so.

Do not block the intake of your machine -- place far enough away to not get up against the intake, but close enough to have the intake to detect the scent.

Also note the some of the stuff sold by Pur-sleep as "Aromatics" are synthetic fragrances and notessential oils. Another case where the site is somewhat confusing --

Dear Sleepycarol,

Thanks for the info. It was very helpful, as I have never used these products before.

I just received my first order from Pur Sleep - "Peace" and "Paradise". Will report back tomorrow on how I enjoyed it tonight.

Sweet dreams to all,

Jersey Girl

Sorry for confusion....

CPAP VaporClear is a new package / branding of the Pur-Sleep products. It contains one 5ml bottle each of Calm and Clear, four pads, one aluminum diffusion stand, and our new brochure. For people who already have the product, this is nothing new. For people wanting to start, it's a newer, lower-cost product package. As many know the Calm product was introduced last year as being similar to Vicks, though less harsh (specifically, no camphor--that stuff is nasty in my opinion).

For the past year I've been working with many on the boards for re-branding ideas (the "aromatherapy" word is kind of loaded). This product package is the result of these re-branding discussions--many thanks to all who helped. Here's the new product package design (front):

As always, feedback is appreciated!
