Where is My Post?

Post by sheltie » Wed Mar 03, 2010 12:06 pm

I entered a post this morning regarding how to correct a leaking mask and I don't see it anywhere. Am I not looking in the right place or did I have an operator malfunction and click the wrong button?

Let me try again. I have a Quattro Mirage full face CPAP mask that leaks after a relatively short period of time. It makes no difference how loose or tight I have it (right now it is tight), after awhile it starts to leak and there goes whatever chance I had for sleep. Does anyone have any tips to stop the leaking?

I dont know the answer but try wearing the mask higher up on face and adjust the part that presses against the forehead if you can

when making a post, you need to wait a while before moving to another window

I have found that your post can quickly drop to the second page if there is a lot of traffic on the site.

I would also suggest that you make sure your face is very clean as well. I am looking at the comfort pads (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/sequal ... e-pad.html) that are supposed to reduce the impact on the bridge of the nose and also the amount of leakage there, perhaps that is something that might help you?

Probably just a loose nut behind the keybrd.

Head down to the local hardware store and
since this is an international forum,
pickup a metric crescent wrench,
and snug that nut down.....
should be good to go.

Hope this helps.

CM weren't you on duty this morning? lmao weren't you watchin?

CM I need to summon your help in another thread....the poster is in need of a 4x4 and I just can't lift it

On another note - have you tried entering the name of your mask in the nifty search box?
search.php

The "Advanced Search" option can be found on the very top of each forum page directly under the "Home" icon.

If you use the Quattro there may be a few ideas already posted. Check the Wiki too.

Just be sure the mask is assembled correctly or ALL bets are off. Then make sure to allow the mask seal to inflate so it 'can' seal. This means not making it overly tight. Then gently snug up to your Max. Pressure - while laying down. Always adjust for Max. Pressure while laying down (your face changes shapes) or you will have troubles. You should be able to fit two (2) fingers under your straps when done or they are 'two' tight

Good Luck
